My wife trimmed up her herb bed and had several things that were enough to dry and save. They are growing fast now!
We need to get a dehydrator or make a solar one because it takes a long time just sitting in the open air.

Turn your radio up, for that sweet sound.
Hold me close…never let me go.
Keep that feeling alive.
Make me lose control.
Knowledge is the best prep.
Practice your skills now.
Not much that you buy and store away is going to be useful if you don’t know how to use it.

Another option (though I don’t know if it’s very practical in the summertime) is to put them in the oven, on its verrry lowest temperature (~140*F, maybe). I haven’t tried it, myself, but I know of others who dry fruit and make jerky &etc. this way and it seems to work. Though I also wouldn’t want my oven on for hours on end (at any temperature!) during the summer 🙂
