Apple Grafting Plan for next Winter

I am going to try this. I am going to add a McIntosh branch to my Yellow Delicious tree next winter so we can have a two-variety tree.  Now I have a deadline to find someone locally who has a McIntosh tree growing in their yard so I can get some scions.

Good for you! One day I hope to try grafting things and experimenting…I bought a book called The Complete Book of Plant Propagation by Graham Clarke and Alan TooGood.
    Good luck!

  2. Wow – this is a great idea. This might be above my skill level right now, but I will be interested to hear about your experiment!

That’s intense. Too bad apples don’t grow well in Clyde. BTW, thanks for reminding me that I had another blog. I forgot I had created it because I was just toying with ideas at that time. Thanks for subscribing to it, though. 🙂 But I deleted it.
