Strawberries came through the winter

Last year’s strawberries–planted in the half of this bed closest to the viewer–came through like the champions they are! I was pretty worried about them because I didn’t cover them and I didn’t know if they could survive the cold of being in a raised bed. Not only are they looking GREAT, but they also have surprised me by propagating themselves well into the other half of the bed under cover of my 2009 peppers. I can’t wait until June!

  2. Sadly, my Quinault strawberries didn’t make the Indiana winter. I think I will copy you and plant in a raised bed for next year.
