My tomatoes have decided that it is too darned hot to set fruit right now. Very frustrating. Love the way this image makes me feel like the tomato is climbing right inside my house.
Oh yes, my tomatoes have also stopped setting fruit. The one from the picture was a flower almost two weeks ago and every flower since then has dropped off. We are hitting 99 or 101 every afternoon now. My tomato plants have a heavy set of fruit 12 inches from the ground, and then 4 feet of lush foliage above that with maybe 1 or 2 green tomatoes.
That tomato sure does have style!
We have been experiencing quite the heat wave here. I wonder how the veggies will handle it. Guess we’ll find out soon enough.

I heard a report last night that our ground is dry 5 feet down. There aren’t many annuals with tap roots that long, I would guess.

It was pouring rain when I went to work this morning, got home and you wouldn’t even had known it rained at all. So dry.
